Too often, higher education organizations place expectations for lead generation and enrollment solely on their marketing and admissions teams. However, every employee can be an advocate for their organization and its quest for increased enrollment, faculty recruitment, donor philanthropy and more. In this session, attendees will learn how they (and their teams!) can be a positive extension of their college or university’s brand, and how they can help to generate much-needed referrals, even in a post-covid, digital world.

Melinda Garland is executive director of University Marketing & Communications at Antioch University, where she leads a talented team responsible for building and implementing an integrated digital marketing and communications strategy for the University. She has more than 20 years of experience in marketing strategy, communications, design, social media, brand management and digital marketing. Melinda holds an MBA from Antioch University and a BFA from Savannah College of Art and Design. Off-campus, she serves as a school board member for her local school district. She loves to draw, create and read, and enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and pets.
